I don’t think this was ever offered to psu


Psu tried to get eastern teams into an eastern league that was not the big east. I assume that would be dominated by psu like Texas dominated the big 12 (politically and monetarily to keep psu at the top. That might not have had tech in it, but oddly Maryland was the different team, plus psu and not Miami. Psu wanted Rutgers temple bc Syracuse wvu Pitt Maryland to join them.

Years later psu almost got into the Big east bb league. I think they would have joined the big ten regardless.
