As a whole….

The remaining Big XII schools are way better than the ACC private and city schools. Not even close. ISU would beat most of those private schools year after year and ISU is the fat part of the curve. And even if all the Big XII schools stunk in football, they have better fan followings and larger living alumni numbers.

But that merger would be a pipe dream because of GoR and the public snob universities’ affinity toward Wake and Duke.

Tech may be G5 in another decade the way things are shaping up. Yet Wake will probably continue to have a seat at the P5 table
