The SEC and B1G did just fine without DC's help or advice. Now you hope that DC will save the ACC for past failures. The ACC could've made successful and innovative decisions from Greensboro, but they didn't. They were always late for the party. Those decisions were successfully being made in Birmingham and Chicago, not Washington, DC. The ACC had the right idea in adding GA Tech and Florida State. When the next round of expansion occurred in the late 2000's to early 2010's, the B1G, SEC and even Pac-12 added large state universities to their conferences. The ACC added three private universities, two urban state universities and one major national university that refused to play the sport that mattered most. The only ACC addition that the SEC would've approved of was Virginia Tech, the large football first state university. Louisville was #2 to Kentucky and Pitt was #2 to Penn State. Virginia Tech was the state's #1 football program. Even if I weren't a Tech graduate, I'd say that Tech has been the ACC's best addition since FSU. Many "experts" thought the B1G would add Pitt and Syracuse, but they selected the two large state universities (Maryland and Rutgers) with statewide support. Before that, they added Nebraska. The ACC should've added West Virginia but they didn't meet the conference's "academic standards". A year later, the ACC adds Louisville, so all that academic stuff was B.S. or the conference simply made another bad decision out of desperation.
