The ACC has been marketing itself as an east coast...

conference since they added all the former Big East schools. ACCMBBT in Brooklyn is an example.

The B1G could care less if the ACC placed its headquarters in NOVA or DC. The B1G has nothing to worry about. Maryland isn't going to rejoin the ACC. They would be foolish to do so with all the revenue they'll be bringing in from the B1G. Plus it's no secret that Maryland enjoys their new neighborhood with likeminded state universities (AAU membership, large state universities and top research universities).

Tech needs to gain AAU status before the B1G starts raiding the ACC in 2035 or 2036. If not, Tech will become a member of the SEC. I know that upsets some on this board, but I'd be fine with it. I'm sure NC State, Clemson and FSU would join us.
