Iowa State wouldn't benefit the BTN all that much, BUT

Iowa State is AAU, and the Presidents of the B1G could see collaborative opportunity there. Iowa would get a lot of pressure in state to support Iowa State, and the B1G might want to take them to keep the SEC out of Iowa. I could see them taking Iowa State under the right circumstances.

When the viewership model transforms from cable subscribers to direct subscribers due to cord cutting there will probably less worries about doubling up in states.
