Most people would say that the bball tournament is fair though


because every conference receives 1 automatic bid to it. Whereas the proposals where all 5 P5s get an automatic bid, but only 1 G5 gets an automatic isn't exactly "fair." Since the P5s need the support from the G5s in order to make any changes to the system, it is why I raised the question about an 8-5 P5 champion receiving an automatic bid to the College Football Playoffs. Does that help or hurt the P5's argument?

I mean if I was a G5 rep at these meetings, 1 question I would ask the P5s is "Why is a 9-4, 8-5, or even 7-6 P5 champion more deserving of an automatic bid to the CFP than a G5 champion that finishes 12-1, 11-2, or 10-3?" Now the question assumes that there are 2 G5 champions that finish with identical records, but only 1 team will receive the automatic bid.
