I have thought for a while that Kansas is

in play. But I would watch out for the SEC as well. They have what they need in terms of football (for the most part) and they started getting serious about basketball about 5-8 years ago and have made big investments in basketball. Adding Kansas gives the SEC a lot of basketball polish.
There is a lot of basketball money to be made in the future, once the P5 (or 4) break away from the NCAA. Look for them to run their own tournament - you think they like sharing NCAA basketball tourney money with the Daytons of the world - nope.
