Membership in the NCAA is voluntary and the P5/4 will leave at some point and form their own governing body. As for March Madness - yes the NCAA owns it but it will eventually look much different than it does today. Remember, at one time the NIT was the biggest and best basketball tournament. You can bet that the P5/4 has their eyes on the pot of gold that the current March Madness generates - and they want a bigger piece of the pie.
