But I'm not simply talking about people that are vulnerable. I agree those
people should take extra precautions. You kept your daughter safe because she was your responsibility and good on you for that. You knew that she would be the one to suffer the consequence... but in this case it's not necessarily the person who is behaving recklessly that will see the consequences. And that's the sticking point for me. I'm all for personal responsibility but in this case the person who is responsible isn't always going to be the one who sees the effects. I don't want people to be forced into their homes at gunpoint. I also don't want people doing whatever the hell they want and putting others at risk simply b/c they're bored or don't like being told what to do.
