Shutdown was to buy time for hospitals to get gear. NOT to eradicate virus.
The virus won’t ever really go away. Or we’d be shutdown forever.
We bought six or seven weeks of time to manufacture and distribute facemasks, gloves, masks, and ventilators. If almost 2 months is not enough time, then we really are doomed anyway. But the equipment is catching up.
Things have to open at some point. The virus will always be here, the point of flattening the curve was to buy time for the hospitals. Manufacturing is in full speed ahead now
