...anything of the sort and even if it had that would only *underscore* the need to test asymptomatic/presymptomatic people. You are not grasping the fundamental point of the testing.
It's okay, it's a little counterintuitive. We tend to think of the primary value of medical testing to be for the person being tested. That's why people get bent out of shape when they hear that, for example, prisoners are being tested. That's a test that could go to some non-criminal! I get it.
But that's not the primary value of the test. For the exact reason that you keep pointing out, in fact: it's just a snapshot. But if you take a *bunch* of snapshots everyday, now you've got something very valuable to the larger community. You've got a moving picture.
