IF the P5 break just for football it severely damages those that remain but, where it really gets dicey is if they break for basketball. At that point, the NCAA's golden goose is cooked and the money that funds the organization and runs the vast majority of the non rev championships is on life support. The only way I think your scenario has a chance is IF there is a significant break WITHIN P5 and, by that, I mean 30 or less schools breaking away. At 64, maybe even 48, the big schools and conferences are driving the bus. The war between the NCAA and the big football schools was lost back in the early 80s when Georgia and Oklahoma won the CFA lawsuit.
