it is ESPN's potential role in the Big 12 undoing that puts a sliver of daylight in their contract with the ACC, etc. ESPN is a private company and can negotiate with anyone it wants. But it likely also has obligations to act in the best interest of its business partners. So it gets a little tricky when clients are competitors and the impact on one has an adverse effect on another...that there is at least the perception of a potential conflict of interest...which client does ESPN benefit from the most.

If I'm the ACC and if I want out of the deal with ESPN to do a joint venture with someone else; that's what I'd be studying, and I'm sure they have. And I think going through discovery would be very difficult for ESPN, if not others. And Paul "Greg Sankey did nothing wrong" Finebaum works for ESPN, right?
