The whole SEC platform is built off of the Alabama dynasty


LSU has helped with their one great year for the title, and Georgia has helped with multiple great years (but never getting the title).

Really the SEC hype is heavily driven from the Bama hype. Bama has been the single biggest factor in the past ten years to help elevate the perception of the SEC. But reality is they are not that different from the old ACC when FSU used to dominate.
