This was 100% an ESPN move. They probably started the whole thing.


Also, for him to claim it would accomplish nothing is completely ignorant. Big Ten already earns quite a bit more than the SEC. Will it in a couple of years when they get new TV deals? Hard to say, but I seriously doubt the SEC will leave them behind. Throw in some sort of TV agreement between the other conferences, and who knows. CBS & NBC are just sitting there. Will they make a move to have new agreements with the Big Ten, et al? I can certainly see that.

I also love this line...

Bull. That's straight from Sankey's mouth. Not sure why he's playing CYA, but whatever. I'm also old enough to remember when the SWC joined forces with the Big 8 that they'd be the best thing since sliced bread. How'd that work out.
