The overwhelming number of vehicles in this country have warning lights for almost everything (even my 20 year old Lexus) so we get maintenance when the lights come on or the car makes noises, squeaks, etc. I keep my car maintained in the state of SC without having to pay a tax to do so. And my insurance premiums are much less than If I was living in many of the states that require all these safety inspections (NY, PEnn, Va to name a few). And if I need to figure out why a light is on I can drive to autozone and they will tell me for free.
