Inspections are no more dangerous than ones with inspections. Go drive in Ny around the city and tell me that’s safer than roads in South Carolina. Not to mention traffic isn’t always from the state the accident is in. Cars last a lot longer than in the 60s and 70s when state inspections became popular. Most cars can go years with only oil changes. Inspections have no correlation to road safety or insurance costs. My insurance cost for South Carolina is much lower than I paid in North Carolina, NY of Virginia when I lived there. If you don’t believe it go to Geico and ask for quotes on the same car in different zip codes
