Ugh, raising the gas tax. Politicians see this as an endless money supply
"The Northam administration is proposing raising the gas tax rate by 4 cents per gallon each year for the next three years, gradually increasing the rate from about 22 cents per gallon to roughly 34 cents per gallon."
It's not bad now with the cost of oil being fairly low, but once energy prices go up, it will put gas out of reach for the poorest people in the state. Can most of the people here afford it, yep. But we aren't the people who are going to get screwed with this.
