No issue with not having them. I spend a lot of time in states with inspections. I bet upstate NY has more hazardous cars on the road than SC and NY has inspections. Usually those inspections lead to a lot of repair bills which I think are somewhat dubious as the repair guy has the power to reject a car so folks feel like they have to get all the repairs suggested done. I know seniors are often taken advantage of in this process as my grandparents were on several occasions
