That's certainly a problem, but the Feds can't run much of anything right
Everything they do gets abused. "Health care for everyone" has the greatest of intentions, but how it plays out in reality is the problem. Right now, in ER's, you can't be turned away for not being able to pay. Guess one? The ER's are flooded with people not being able to pay showing up to try to get opioids for "back pain" or "headaches" (those two are hard to diagnose). Or showing up day after day for the most trivial thing and they always have to be treated because, guess what? Even though they don't pay, they can still sue the pants off the ER if they miss a diagnosis or do anything wrong just one time. Way too many people are not paying for services like this and it clogs the system - it will be expanded exponentially if health care if provided widespread for all, including all the people who can't pay. BTW, I have a son whose full time job is working in several different ER's and also works as an EMT and I work for the Federal Government
