You are right that the Big East options were rather limited after


PSU decided to join the Big Ten. Although do you think during that time the Big East could have made a very bold move? I am talking really outside the box. The scenario I am thinking of is the Big East makes a play to get Notre Dame, Texas, and Oklahoma to join this new football conference with full membership in the Big East. Basically the Big East Football Conference becomes a 12 member conference right out of the gate so it can hold a CCG. The CCG could rotate around a couple different cities within the Big East footprint.
