It ties back to a point I made on another post where schools


could face lawsuits from non-student athletes demanding the same amount of compensation that student-athletes receives. Schools will then be forced to justify why a student-athlete deserves more compensation than a student assisting on an academic study, a work study program, or even as a GA. If it can be proven that schools generate just as much or more revenue on the academic side as it does on the athletic side, then schools may have a difficult time restricting the compensation to just student-athletes.

I found the post I made on the football board where I raised the questions/concerns.
