One observation from the article about someone at SDSU sleeping in the

locker room. All of the big cities in California have seen incredible increases in the cost of housing. I live in the Bay Area where apartment rents are now starting around $3000/mo and up. I am sure LA and SD aren't far behind. You need more than $100K to live here. I have no idea how people making less do it.

I have heard that some live in their cars. They join 24 hr gyms so they can take showers/dress/etc and sleep in their cars in the parking lot so they won;t be disturbed.
