Not suggesting Title IX will be done away with.


It will likely naturally be amended if the very nature of college athletics changes at these 65 to 100 schools. The question will be if the schools can get away with paying players from only the profitable sports. I think a decent legal argument could be made that women's golf teams will not be paid because they do not bring in any money. They can still get scholarships and small stipends I suppose. Not so sure they would need to be paid in the 25K range, as I'm suggesting should be the case for fball and mens bball players.

But even if they did, these P65 schools could pay all 400 scholarship athletes in the 25K range for $10million. That's a lot of money, but if cuts could be made to coaches salaries, it would be doable. And again, they will be saving a ton of money by not having to share with the lower division schools.
