It is a good article. The only issue I found with the article


(and others like it) is it seems to be more interested in pointing out the "problem" (and in some cases even place a blame) than trying to come up with viable solutions to fix the "problem." Now I am not suggesting that it is the job of sports writers/broadcasters to fix the "problem" because that is the job of college presidents and athletic directors.

However, it is starting to appear to me that everyone involved with DI college athletics (college presidents, college athletic directors, sports writers, sports broadcasters, etc.) are saying on one hand that there is a "problem" and on the other hand there isn't a "problem." What worries me sometimes is the thought that the "problem" has gotten so big and so complicated that even government agencies couldn't fix the "problem." Not that I am in favor of government involvement, but it may come to that if the schools don't get their act together.
