Aren't A&M and Nebraska "exceptions" too??


(and yes Nebraska is Big 10 now, but they weren't when we played them)

PSU had been scheduled before they were Big 10 too...got cancelled because we both joined conferences

scheduling expectations and requirements have changed...I agree there's a mutual "like" going on, but I don't think it's anything beyond "we need games against schools like yours"

How exactly does playing a home and home series with a school "go a long way toward" determining the fit of a team and a conference? The folks who make those decisions aren't going to figure out anything they don't already know (at least anything relevant to that type of decision) by having Wisconsin play in Lane Stadium.
