Love the match ups too but

I'm selfish. I can make day trips to seven of the ACC stadiums, can make Thursday night games and be at work Friday(at least in body) at most of those. These are not football powerhouses like some of those B1G schools, but still well known schools. I couldn't afford the time to make most of the games in the B1G.

There's a few Purdue, UM, OSU and PSU fans in my social circle, but I mainly socialize with ACC fans, even before 2004 - love being able to discuss sports with them. Don't want most of my rival fanbases 10+ hours away.

If we can improve the schedule by getting home and homes with a high level B1G school almost every year and I can still make most games, with an occasional great road trip to a B1G school - whats the downside?

No the ACC is not making SEC or B1G money and most likely never will - even with a network, but I like where we are, and if FSU and Clemson can get there, we can too.
