Yes, one flaw of the US is not taking the long view.


Of course someone will point that out, actually quite a few of them.

The last 30 years? Well, over that time period, materials science has changed, prices have come down, incentives to change have been created, and the most obvious, EVs have taken a strong foothold and are now attractive and viable forms of transportation. The mindset for renewables between 1992 and now is quite different.
