I disagree with just about all of your other comments.

Sure college football is a business but what is good for ND is not necessarily good for college football. A 12 team playoff with a majority of SEC schools & ND is definitely not good for college football.

I have no idea what the BIG thinks about ND going to the ACC. I imagine they don't care one way or another.

I will agree that ND gets special treatment because it is in the interest of networks and bowls. Ask schools who have lost bowl bids to a less deserving ND team if that was in their interest.

Conferences represent the overwhelming majority of NCAA teams - not just one entity. That is why they get to set the rules.

College football needs parity and a continued national following if it is to thrive. The best way to do that is to have teams from all over the country participate in any playoff, and the best way to do that is auto bids to conference champs + AL. If the number is 8 then 5 P5 + 1 G5 + 2 AL. If 12 then all 10 conference champs + 2 AL. If 16 then 10 conference champs + 6 AL. In all cases conferences should be allowed a max of 2 participants.

I enjoy the healthy discussions we have and I do my best to take off my orange and maroon glasses when I think about this stuff. I truly want what I think is good for all of college football.
