Now can the 10 conferences and Notre Dame agree on how the 5 or 6

automatic bids to conference champions will be determined? The G5s have already said they won't agree to the 5+1 proposal. Some of the P5s (i.e. the Big Ten) won't agree to the Top 6 ranked conference champion regardless of affiliation proposal because they will only agree to the 5+1 proposal. Is there a third option or middle ground between those 2 proposals? If not, then where do the 10 conferences and Notre Dame go from here?
