Why should conference champs receive "special treatment" ??

Nothing "sacred" about conference champs and the playoffs.

No stone tablets from Mt. Sinai . This is all just business.

I know that the conferences "own" the playoffs, but a straight 12 would work just fine.

Why won't it happen? All conferences want the most money possible. They want their rep to make the conference money.

ND gets "special treatment" from others because it is in the best interests of others (Networks, bowls, other schools, etc)

The Big Ten doesn't want to push ND football into the ACC.

The rest want to make money from ND's participation.

ND is good for business.
