Part of their task is to look at membership in Division 1; "A model for new (or enhanced) membership obligations/ requirements, including the appropriateness of a new subdivision, division or even differently defined categories of institutions (e.g., groups, leagues, consortiums)."

Pretty obvious what is driving the information bus on CFP expansion disappointment. Sankey/ESPN want to preserve as much of their current advantage as possible. If membership requirements change, Aresco and Gill may not be in the CFP discussion at all after August. They'd all like function to follow form.
