Even if ND gets one of the six non-champ slots every year, which they probably would, there would still be five slots left for the P5.

So, almost every year, the playoffs would probably be:

2 ACC
2 PAC12
2 B10
2 B12
2 SEC
1 G5
1 ND

That is about as much parity as we can ever expect. It puts each P5 conference on very equal footing, playoff-wise.
