A few observations

1. OU and UT might as well stay and finish their obligation to the BigXII. It was clear to me that expanding the playoff was the plan for the SEC and OU/UT, but they wanted to do so BEFORE OU/UT to the SEC was announced. So, why not just fulfill the obligation--have a better chance to make the 4-team playoff and save themselves some money?

2. AFTER 2026 is going to be interesting. Wonder if the Pac12 and B1G will be able to incorporate the Rose Bowl with the actual champions of the two conferences into an expanded CFP?

3. Wonder if other conferences will try to make it 8 or 16. I hate the 12 idea. There is already a big gap each year between the top 4 teams and, say #s 10-12. Plus, they want to give these elite teams a bye? I mean, why bother? Makes for a crappy tournament in my view.
