Maybe it does under perform to the point of embarrassment


and maybe the Pac-12's gamble will backfire. At the same time ACC fans could end up regretting the ACC's deal in a few years because Swofford agreed to a few extra coins in the beginning at the expense of leaving dollars on the table with 8-10 years to go in the current agreement.

If the Big Ten and SEC don't agree to similar lengths as the ACC when their contracts come up for renewal, then I suspect a few eyebrows will be raised and people may even say "What was Swofford and the ACC thinking agreeing to a contract that doesn't expire until late 2030s?"
