Right now PAC12 is in a bad deal with the PAC12 Networks.

The PAC-12 football product rarely makes the College Football Playoff, and the PAC-12 men's basketball product doesn't shine much in the NCAA Tournament. The television viewership numbers for PAC-12 football and men's basketball are the lowest of the P5, and I don't have attendance numbers for stadiums and arenas, but my guess is not great.

With all this as backdrop Larry Scott is going to negotiate media rights rates like Jim Delany of the Big Ten in 4 years with entities that today don't exist in the market to produce sports for television. Or Jack Ma of Alibaba is going to come over here and give Larry Scott a fortune to show PAC-12 basketball in China because the Chinese will be turned on to PAC-12 basketball much more than the NBA. This is supposed to be his "Good" Deal.

Good Deal vs Bad Deal is in the eye of the beholder I guess.
