Not if they are of their creation.

It's not like they are buying up all the companies in a market. The Conferences are contracting with them. The agreements are contracts, not ownership. When Disney purchased all of Fox's Regional Sports Networks, that was an acquisition, not a media rights agreement. It is true that the PAC12 Networks would be an acquisition, but they are not close to having them all at this point.

Someone might sue citing Anti-trust claiming it's the same thing, but it can be argued that it is not.

I don't think ESPN will ever have them all at this point. They are not willing to pay the B1G what the B1G wants. And they don't want the Big XII other than Texas. The PAC12 has its own region. They want that. Perhaps ESPN should aggressively pursue the Mountain West Conference. It overlaps the PAC12 in California, Utah, and Colorado. Wouldn't that be something if ESPN started a MWC network and got it more distribution in those states than Larry Scott can get the PAC12? MWC also has Nevada, New Mexico, Wyoming, Idaho, and Hawaii.
