There was support at the ACC Council of Presidents to add UConn and Cincinnati at the same time Louisville was added. Swofford convinced them to slow down as there would be teams available when the ACC needs to go to 16. He wanted to stop at 15.

Unless Notre Dame chooses to join in football prompting a need for a number 16, the ACC is staying put unless ESPN says more is needed for the Cable Channel distribution in 2019. So far that hasn't happened. I just hope when it does Regional Rivalries is part of the selection process.
