Since the ACC suffers from the "Big East Syndrome"


I believe the ACC would have still picked BC over UConn. After all just look at the ACC's demographics for the 15 current members:

Public: 8
Private: 6
State-related: 1

For the ACC, its "Big East Syndrome" would be public-private instead of basketball-football. Now I do think there is a possibility that the ACC could have added UConn instead of L'ville to back fill UMD's spot. If the ACC had gone that route, then it would have been interesting to see how Clemson and FSU would have reacted to that decision and the impact on the other members.
