Different times different perspective

Conn going to div 1 was very polarizing in the university . There was not much support and limited land availability .it was a viable player in 1aa and played Richmond wm and jmu a lot

The state supported their move and ponied up on the stadium on the condition they had the stadium much closer . However conn didn’t build the foundation for support for lasting sustainment ..so when the moves happened they were left behind. Maybe that wasn’t a good idea anyway .conn is a small school in a small state .. reallly hard..Kansas is sorta like this . They coasted when they should have pushed .
You are so right with va tech when the acc was formed. Vt leadership was tentative and wanted to keep things the same. That resulted in 50 years of stuff
