IMO, you are looking at the wrong directional school. If I'm looking
to expand into Florida, I would go with UCF.
While both schools would give access to Florida recruiting, UCF seems have put more into improving their athletic programs in recent years. They have an on-campus 42,000 seat stadium that was built with expansion in mind, an indoor football practice facility and a new basketball arena. They are located in the middle of the state with easy access to two international airports. The school is NOT in downtown Orlando, but in a suburban 1400 acre campus east of downtown that is easy to get drive to.
UCF is Florida's largest university with a total undergraduate enrollment of 52,532 and 250,000 alumni base, most of which still lives within driving distance of the campus.
