Yes, I do think it is possible. Not sure UConn and WVU would be the ACC's
top choices. For the sake of discussion let's assume that the ACC believes UConn and WVU don't move the needle when it comes to TV ratings. I do think the ACC would add 1 schools that doesn't move the needle. However, I believe the second school would be someone that did move the needle. The ACC needs both content for the new ACCN and to make sure it doesn't fall too far behind the other 3-4 power conferences (depending on what happens to the Big XII) in terms of ratings especially while football is driving the bus.
I do believe it would be a toss-up on whether the ACC picked UConn or WVU. Both schools have a pretty good men's basketball program so that is a wash. WVU has a better football program and better football rivalries. UConn has a better women's basketball program and slightly better (men's) basketball rivalries. If it was my choice, then I would go with WVU because the ACC has a better chance to make more money off WVU's advantages in football. However, we are talking about the ACC so it wouldn't shock me if the conference went with UConn to try to get the ACC back as the best basketball conference (instead of jockey with the Big Ten for that honors).
