THAT's what I'm saying. If ESPN was saying no, then the ACC should have held onto the content needed for a network. That's what the Pac12 did. THAT's what I'm saying.
And BTW, I'm not even sure ESPN said no. Swofford just said that Wasserman group told him a network was a no go back in 09. ESPN GAVE A SINGLE UNIVERSITY THEIR OWN NETWORK NOT LONG AFTERWARD. So ESPN was most definitely ready and willing to get into the conference network game back then.
The hold up on the SEC was that they were stuck in a long term contract that was signed before conference networks were even on the radar. That was not the case in 09. Posters on this very board, including myself, suggested the ACC should be planning for a network back then. [Post edited by chuckd4vt at 07/29/2016 12:56PM]
