So what did they do so right?
Tell me all the things the ACC leadership have pulled off that nobody else in the industry could have accomplished. Tell me how their decision making has been working out for them?
Tell me how they've one upped everyone else. And they really haven't beaten out the Big12. The Big12 schools still make more money from TV and bowls than the ACC. The ten Big12 schools split a $40 million check from their anchor bowl while the 14.5 ACC schools are splitting $27 million from theirs.
And MANY of the Big12 schools have been quite fine with the status quo. Texas got over on ESPN pretty good. Why couldn't the ACC pull off such a coup? Tell me what they've got right?
Embarrassingly, two of their 3 best moves since the expansion wars began they totally lucked into. They never wanted VT and most of them didn't want Louisville. They lucked into VT and FSU showed Greensboro who was boss with Louisville.
So what have they done correctly since 2009? How well is all of that extending of the ESPN contract going to pay off? Specifics please.
