and the Big XII wouldn't choose a champ. It was as much about how they played that championship game as it was the fact they played it.
He also talked about the Ohio State schedule. Talking about the VT loss:
Long: "Yeah that is true, but we think they overcame that with the fact that they had nine wins against teams that were bowl-eligible and I believe five of them -- off the top of my head -- were on the road. So we think Ohio State's body of work and how they constructed and built that quality of work caused them to be ahead of both Baylor and TCU."
