If ND can play a strong independent schedule and finish undefeated. And an ACC team squeezes through with a modest OOC schedule to be unbeaten. It would be interesting to see who gets in. I don't think anyone can say with certainty who the committee would pick. And ND has no reason to jump to the ACC until this is tested and they fail.

I think the ACC team would be favored to get in, but it's not a lock.

And the only way an unbeaten ND team doesn't get in is if there are four other unbeatens. Highly unlikely.
