Even now that they are relatively good, no one cares. They still get crappy bowl assignments because the organizers know that no one will travel to or watch the games. Their attendance is still amongst the worst in P5, even with several winning seasons in a row. Last in the ACC, better only than Colorado(!) among P5 programs. I don't know where/how to find TV rating info, but I would imagine they are a very, VERY low ratings draw as well. They are definitely a football deadbeat IMO, although not an athletic deadbeat.
