The challenge will be debate over location of ACC Championship events


One of the reasons Texas caused issues with Nebraska, Missouri, Colorado, etc. is that they insist on holding most of the championship events (i.e. football championship game) in Dallas. The Big XII enabled that. The northern members wanted it in St. Louis/Kansas City. It was a struggle.

Texas will want the ACC football championship to leave Charlotte and move to Dallas. How would the ACC respond? They may for baseball, basketball, soccer, etc. to do the same. With the current makeup of the ACC, North Carolina is central geographically. So many of the ACC events are held in North Carolina today. How will ACC schools feel about having these things in Texas? I see this as the biggest challenge.

As for egos, as long as Texas could come in with its own western division of say 4 other Big XII current members, I think that could be worked out without too much difficulty. I don't want them coming alone as a flyover member though.
