That's kinda why i would rather remain in the ACC. We have usually been in the the top two or three teams discussed (obviously not last few years), a lot of "away" games are close enough for day trips, I get to argue sports with fans of other geographically close teams and we likely get our once every so often shot at CFP and beyond - when the breaks fall our way..
A move to the SEC or B1G likely means most often being discussed in the 3-5 position in the conference (I just don't see us ever consistently beating out Bama, LSU, FL, Auburn, OSU, MICH, etc, even with more money). We could and would on occasion be relevant - about as often as the breaks fall our way in the ACC.
We have often done well as the "underdog" role and I enjoy the perks that come with it.
