Its very much true in the current landscape...

That VT wouldnt compete with Texas A&M for recruits under those parameters. I trust you and your numbers, but I also havent done the research into what that $25 million actually is going to

With most schools who have announced things that are similar, it isnt $XX million going to athletes, its $XX million going towards funding a building/office, employees and a structure to connect their current athletes with business opportunities. The latter of which it sounds like VT is putting together.

But Texas A&M wants to be better in the football space moreso than basketball. So they allocate their funds to that program and if they havw a choice between a 5 star football kid and a 5 star basketball kid, theyre going football. And theyre competing with Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, LSU, etc for that 5 star.

If they took away money from what they could allocate that 5-star and applied it to the 86th player on the bench they will lose out on the 5-star and gain a player who **might** help them in 3 years.

Its a very bad business model and thats what we are discussing here
